Tomorrow it's time to fly to Beijing for six months. All preparations have been done... hopefully... and I should have everything with me that I need.
School will start on the 16th of February and I will get into the dormitory on the 11th of February. Between the 25th of January and 11th of February I will be spending my first Chinese Spring Festival outside of Beijing and after that getting to know Beijing. I'll have to get a chinese mobile phone number and an account, but that will be on my second week in China when I'm back to Beijing. It should be interesting since I don't really speak that much Chinese... :) I don't think it will be enough to know the numbers and greetings in Chinese to get an account in a bank... But luckily I have Fiona and Roger to help me in Beijing for a week.
I'm not sure what to wait for from the six months. When I was in USA for the exchange year, it was different because I stayed in a family. This time I'm on my own, living in a dormitory, that I have no idea what it's going to be like. I just wonder what "shared bathroom" means in China... But one thing is for sure, it's going to be an adventure :)
I don't think I've fully understood yet, that I'm going and it can be seen from my packing, which is not done. I've gathered some stuff but I'm still not sure if there's something I should also take with me and if there's something that I don't need. I guess the panic is starting :P Maybe it's time to start packing then.
